I’m John-Lee,

I’m John-Lee,

I’m John-Lee,

I am a 1.5 gen Korean-American who always loved going beyond small talk to what people really cared about and valued—listening intently to people's multi-layered stories. My curiosity led me to exploring human nature deeper through philosophy studies. I, ultimately, pursued a masters in understanding what helps humans flourish and what hurts our growth.

That curiosity, plus thousands of hours in the therapy room with clients, taught me that:

real growth happens in relationship, not alone.

That curiosity, plus thousands of hours in the therapy room with clients, taught me that:

real growth happens in relationship, not alone.

Collaboration and connection is the relational framework of my counseling services designed to foster growth.

I stay current with the latest evidenced-based trauma modalities like IFS and EMDR, but what makes the biggest difference is my own personal commitment to ongoing therapy. It is what informs my empathetic and thoughtful approach.
